Aid for Romania

The Newport Knitters collect together numerous bags of knitted woollens, baby clothes and blankets to be sent by the lorry load to lands as varied as Indonesia, Romania, Portugal and the Philippines. Other items are taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital, and to other local outlets. Most are delivered through Christian Missionaries, and with the grateful thanks of a small church in Newport. The Newport Knitters also work hard to produce lengths of scarf for Ty Hafan.

The efforts of the knitters to provide relief on both a local and international level is hugely appreciated by all beneficiaries. Congratulations!
