Introducing Mr Byron Adams, a new Schools Organiser for Neath Port Talbot

I am Byron Adams and am the new Schools Project Organiser for Neath Port Talbot. I am a retired police officer who retired from the British Transport Police in 1998, and have now taken up a second career with NTL as a database administrator.

I joined RSVP in July 2005 and quickly decided that I wanted to offer more help by becoming the local Schools Organiser. I now work closely with Pam Bush, RSVP Schools Project Coordinator for the area, to develop the project further.

There are at present a number of volunteers enjoying themselves in schools throughout Neath Port Talbot. They listen to children read and help with activities ranging from Art and Craft to IT - but more volunteers are always needed.

It is my intention to continue to raise awareness about RSVP in the area, and encourage more people to become members of this excellent organisation.
